There was a bit of skepticism when Jesse Vigil decorated his 2007 Ford Mustang like a police car. He painted it black and white, had the words ‘police’ on the side of the doors, and placed an emergency bar on the top of the car.
Ford has planned to display the new Ford Taurus tomorrow at the New York Auto Show. They will be displaying it in all its glory – but there will be one Taurus there that will look less than perfect. In fact it will look like it just got back from a horrible car accident. That’s because it did …sort of.
Canadians may not be too crazy about the cars that come out of their homeland at the moment due to the inequitable prices – but the people in Afghanistan are more than happy to take up their slack and their cars. Reports have stated that after the Taliban fell the first cars to arrive were those from Canada.
The 2008 Geneva Auto Show has arrived and there were many cars being showed off. Many are ones that we have seen before and some are ones that we have been waiting months to catch even a small glimpse of. The Ford Fiesta has been one of the cars that we have been waiting to get a closer look at and we finally got our chance.
Microsoft’s SYNC has become quite popular among consumers. It’s easy to use hands free technology makes it appealing and has even been giving a few awards. It may have cost a good $395 – but Ford owners had no problem shelling out the money for it.
Ford’s exclusive contract to the Windows CE 6.0 Auto technology will be up later in the year – which means that other automakers can get their chance to climb on board and introduce it to their customers. Microsoft is all too aware of the popularity of its new product and is more than happy to be bringing in more customers.
There have already been rumors that Microsoft is making plans with some of its previous customers in the automaker business. It will be interesting to see what new developments arrive later this year as the product is freed up for others to use to their advantage.
