Mitsubishi Working Hard On Lancer Sportback
If sources are right then Mitsubishi is thinking hard about offering a ‘jacked-up’ version of the Lancer Sportback to the international markets come 2010. The new model will be built with a restyled fascia, higher ride height, and protective body panels. These body panels are almost identical to the ones that can be found on the older Subaru Outback and Audi Allroad.
The new model will also be based off of the current Lancer architecture and will be a compact crossover. Mitsubishi has promised that it will come available with the all wheel drive system and underneath the hood will lie a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that offers 240 horsepower.
