Hummer Says Farewell

Hummer

The Hummer has been a good vehicle for many years – but now it is time to say farewell to the sport utility vehicle that many have grown fond of. The Hummer was introduced in the 1990’s and was produced to the middle of the 2000’s became a big hit fast among consumers despite the amount of gas that was needed to make it run.

Many are shocked that the Hummer is being taken off the market – but others were smart enough to expect it. Many people actually complained that the vehicle was bad for the environment because of the low-mileage. But it managed to last for many years – until now.

But then, gas prices soared and the SUV’s vital signs plummeted. As much as people love large cars, the costs to keep fuel in the tank proved too much to take. As the New York Times reported, it now costs $100k to own and keep a similarly inefficient full size pickup running for five years.
