Subaru RWD Coupe Sold Everywhere, Toyota RWD Coupe Sold Only In Japan

According to Inside Line the new RWD coupes that are currently being developed by Subaru and Toyota are not going to be sold in all the markets. They stated that the Subaru models are only being sold in markets that are outside of Japan. The Toyota version will remain exclusive to Japan.
They also stated that the coupe will be based off of the Subaru Impreza which will be powered by a 2.0 liter boxer engine that is naturally aspirated and can punch out 220 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. We know that the press release from Subaru/Toyota stated that it would be an ‘all-new’ platform – but this is now old news and in correct.
The two automakers will be using the Integra Type-R as the benchmark and performance for the brand new coupe, a 2+2 seating layout, 103” wheelbase, and a curb weight of 2,866 pounds. The coupe will debut in 2011 and the price is said to start below $20,000.
