1978 Y/82 Trans AM Burt Reynolds Edition
On the collector car market, the mid to late 1970’s model Pontiac Trans Am is becoming more popular, than the more muscular 1969 to 1974 Trans AMs. The later Trans AMs have a manliness to them. Many can association this with the 1970’s famous personality Burt Reynolds along with the Smokey and the Bandit Movie series. A 1978 Special Edition Y/82 Trans Am that comes with the desirable Pontiac 400 engine with 4-speed manual tranny. Also with original Hurst Hatches and AM/FM/8-track player and CB radio along with the rare rear-console add to this cars rarity.
Burt Reynolds aficionados, though, this fire-breathing Trans AM offers something truly special: a Burt Reynolds signature on the dash. Burt Reynolds also drove the Trans AM around when he was in Georgia developing Year One’s Bandit Edition replica car. This Trans AM has been on television many times. Don’t expect this car to come cheap, it’s already past $46 grand with days still to go in the auction.
