2008 Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell Electric Sport SUV

This year Chevrolet added a Sport model of the Equinox that features lowered ride height with a 263-horsepower 3.6 liter V6 DOHC engine to the Chevrolet Equinox family, which already consist of the LS and LTZ models.
The Sport model will showcase a slightly different exterior styling, 18 inch wheels and a six speed automatic transmission with Tap-up/ Tap-down shift capability. The Sport is available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configuration. Chevy promises 0-60 mph times in under seven seconds, and 3,500 pounds of towing capacity with the optional full time all-wheel drive system.
Every Equinox model, from the LS to the LTZ to the NEW Sport, gets an EPA- estimated 24 mpg highway, giving you a chance to see more of the highway and less of the pump.
Bottom line: If Chevrolet’s typical pricing scheme applies, the Equinox Sport will offer a lot of small SUV for the money, not to mention leaving you with a lot more money in your pocket that normally, you would be spending at the pump.
