This year Chevrolet added a Sport model of the Equinox that features lowered ride height with a 263-horsepower 3.6 liter V6 DOHC engine to the Chevrolet Equinox family, which already consist of the LS and LTZ models.

The FIA stated this week that starting next year racers must drive hybrid cars in order to comply with the Kinetic Energy Recovery System. Formula One stated that it will take until 2013 before all of the changes from the new system to take effect – but it will start with the 2009 season.
