Scion Working Overtime To Increase Sales

2008 Scion xB

Scion is struggling over the past year and a half. According to their numbers they have hit a slump with their peak amount being at 175,000 cars sold in 2006. Last year they were only able to sell 130,000. How are they going to fix this problem? They are hoping that the release of three new cars will do the trick.

Jack Hollis from Scion stated in an interview that they were “studying two or three models in conceptual form right now.” We know that one of these models will be the Hako Coupe concept – which was revealed to us at the New York Auto Show.

When it comes down to the other concepts Scion is keeping tight lipped. Hollis did say that they were keeping their options open and their search for a better car will be very wide. So should we expect an SUV, coupe, or even a hybrid? Only time and a little bit of digging will reveal any answers for us. Consumers are hoping that Scion will release a new car that will be geared toward what they like and what they need. This is something that Scion has forgotten to do and could explain the sale slump they are experiencing now.
