Saab Creates Ice Sculpture Of Aero-X
In 2006 at the Geneva Auto Show we had the pleasure of spying out many cars both big and small alike. Some were amazing while others were a bit disappointing to our eyes. Yet, there is one car that we will never forget – the Saab Aero-X. It was an amazing car full of power and luxury like we had never seen before. The fact that it has been created as a full scale block of ice does nothing to hinder this viewpoint.
Apparently Saab wanted to spice things up and get the creative juices on the design team flowing and what better way to do that than to create something that will inspire them. The Move Your Mind Room design exercise was a collaboration put together by the top designer for Saab – Simon Padian who worked with the Icehotel designer Tjåsa Gusfores.
Together they created a sculpture of the Aero-X at the Icehotel that is located in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. We can personally say that it got our minds to thinking and we admire all the hard work that was put in to creating this masterpiece.
