Mercedes To Improve Upon GLK Vision

Mercedes-Benz new GLK compact SUV – which was previewed at the Detroit Auto Show in January – surprised people with its unusual design. Most people have described it as a “shrunken down full-size GL”. Yet, it seems that Mercedes has made some improvements upon the vehicle that might just make up for this lack of design.
Next week Mercedes will again be showing off the GLK and will be introducing us to the gas mileage that the CUV/SUV can get. The Vision GLK BlueTec Hybrid has been built with the new mild hybrid system that both Mercedes and BMW have been working on.
Mercedes has also used the four cylinder 2.2 liter diesel engine that produces 224 horsepower and 413 pound-ft of torque. This allows the SUV to move from 0 to 62 mph in 7.3 seconds all while getting 40 mpg. The exterior of the vehicle will be given the AleBeam paint that can be found on the AMG CL65 anniversary edition. Mercedes is planning on releasing the production version of the GLK this summer.
