Maserati To Reveal Gran Turismo S At Geneva
Instead of making us wait – Maserati has been kind enough to release a few teaser pictures and details on the new Gran Turismo S – which is set to be revealed for the first time next week at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show.
The Gran Turismo S version will be powered by the V8 4.7 liter engine and will produce 440 horsepower. This is the same engine that Maserati originally made for the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Of course the more powerful engine will be mated to the electro-actuated MC-Shift gearbox that had been mounted onto the rear transaxle. This will help to give correct optimized weight distribution and allow for faster shifting times.
The extra power that it has been given will be kept at bay when you need to with the Brembo braking system that features front brakes with the dual cast iron/aluminum discs. When it comes to the exterior and interior of the vehicle there are dramatic changes that have been made and which we all approve of including, new wheels and Alcantara leather trimmed interior with sport buckets.
These pictures do it great justice – but getting the chance to see it up close and personal at the Geneva show will be an even better experience for us.
