Koenigsegg CCXR And CCX Edition Coming To Geneva

Koenigsegg CCXR Edition

You know when a supercar believes that it truly is the best when they give themselves a short and sweet name that gets right down to it and doesn’t take any shortcuts. The new Koenigsegg has done just this with their new ‘Edition’ supercar.

Three months ago we were given a notice that the Koenigsegg CCXR and CCX Edition would be eventually coming out in public to show us what they can do. We are happy to say that they will be making an appearance at the up and coming 2008 Geneva Auto Show.

We do have a bit of information on the two exotic supercars – but getting the chance to view them up close will give us a better idea at what they can dish out. For now we know that the CCX Edition will sport a V8 4.8 liter engine that has the ability to produce 888 horsepower. The CCXR will have the same engine except that it will be ethanol burning and it will be able to produce 1,018 horsepower.

Both models will come in the bare carbon fiber with red accents on the CCXR. Both will be given the special interior that will include leather carpets that match and special gadgets and controls.

Only 14 of the CCX Editions and 6 of the CCXR Editions will be made. In case you were wondering two have already been snatched up and each of them were bought for over $2 million each.
