Fiat Prepares To Debut Fiat 500 Aria Concept

Fiat 500 Aria Concept

Fiat will be debuting two versions of the 500 minicar at the up and coming 2008 Geneva Auto Show. The red version will sport a 135 horsepower 1.4 liter turbo four engine. This version of the minicar is no surprise to us and we have known about it for some time now.

The 500 Aria (green minicar) concept is the true surprise that we are looking forward to seeing. Fiat has been dabbling in ‘green’ technology and has decided to show it off at the show. The new concept has been derived from the Fiat Panda Aria concept that was seen at Frankfurt.

The different is that the 500 Aria is built with a Mulitjet 16v 1.3 liter diesel engine, start/stop technology (which is said to help reduce the fuel economy), and a robotic Dualogic gearbox.

Fiat has also used the reduced weight components, low power auxiliary, the low drag Pirelli tires, and made the interior full of recycled materials. While it is full of the ultimate in ‘green’ technology it looks like any other 500.
