2008 Chicago Auto Show - International Debuts Class 8 LoneStar Big Rig

International Class 8 Big Rig

There’s nothing wrong with showing off a little bit of the power that some vehicles have going for them. So when we spotted International’s new Class 8 LoneStar Big Rig you can bet that we put them on our ‘to see’ list. The LoveStar was definitely a sight to see and even though it looked more like a classic model it still had all of the features that truckers look for.

How did they pull it off? They went straight to the source and asked random truckers what they would use if they could customize their own trucks. Truckers seemed to go for lots of chrome, bright lights, and a comfortable cabin that would make them feel more ‘at home’ than working on the road all the time.

International pulled off the chrome look well and when it came to the interior of the cabin we were surprised with the look that it had. The sleeper had hardwood flooring giving it the ‘homey’ look that the truckers coveted. It also came with 23 inside and 19 outside factory options. To top it all off the big tanker also does well in the gas mileage department making it almost ideal for truckers everywhere.
