Ford And Navistar At Odds Once Again
It looks like Ford and Navistar are at odds once again and have somehow found themselves back in the courtroom. It seems that Navistar is upset with Ford’s plans to create a 4.4 liter diesel engine inhouse for their F-150. If we can remember last June the same lawsuit was brought up but was thrown out by the judge who told them both to fix the problem themselves through mediation.
That didn’t seem to work for them and both companies are frustrated with the lack of progress that they have made. Navistar decided to refile its claim in hopes that it would be taken back to court and settled this time. Navistar is claiming that the diesel engine that Ford wants to use violates an old agreement that was made between the both of them.
Navistar is also under the impression that Ford is using the International 4.4 liter Lion V8 project that cost $11 million for Navistar to produce. For now we are confident that the claims made by Navistar are unproven and will not hold up in court.
