Let’s All Celebrate National Corvette Day

Corvette

The Corvette is one of the best classic cars and should be respected as one. In order to commemorate this Mid America Motorworks – a parts supplier for Corvettes – worked to get this classic car its very own postal stamp – which they accomplished back in 2005. After taking care of this they were inspired to take the next step and work at giving it is very own day to celebrate.

Mid America has created another petition to give to John Shimkus – Illinois Congressional Representative. With this petition they are hoping to declare June 30th as National Corvette Day. For anyone who needs to brush up on their history – June 30th, 1953 was the day that the first line of Corvettes were put into production and driven onto car lots everywhere.

We agree with Mark Merkel (from Mid America) when he said that the Corvette “Is a popular piece of Americana and an integral part of American history and the automobile.”
