Quarter Million Pounds Formula One Car Plate Sold
A one of the kind registration plate “F1″ sold for 375,000 pounds in Britain making it the most costly ever sold. A Formula One fan, placed the exclusive “F1″ plate to a McLaren SLR sports car. The car reaches speeds of 200mph and costs 300,000 pounds.
The ”F1″ Plate beat the previous record of 331,000 pounds for an “M1″, bought in the summer of 2006. “F1″ was first registered in 1904 when it belonged to Essex’s county surveyor. Essex county sold it to raise money to train young drivers.
