Detroit Auto Show: Volvo To Hold Out Till Geneva

Scion XC60

We were surprised to see that the Detroit Auto Show was scarce of Volvo’s presence. In fact they were one of the few who didn’t even set up a press conference. They did have a booth set up – but there was very little to be seen. They have chosen the Geneva Auto Show to show off their new 2009 XC60.

The XC60 is a CUV compact that is believed to sport either a 3.2 liter inline six or inline five. Consumers will be able to choose between all wheel and front wheel drive. Scion will be selling the new XC60 in Europe later this year. Unfortunately it won’t arrive to the U.S. till early 2009.
