Hyundai Shows Some Style With 2009 Genesis

2009 Hyundai Genesis

Hyundai is attempting to step beyond their normal boundaries by introducing their first rear wheel drive luxury vehicle known as the - 2009 Hyundai Genesis. They are planning on debuting the new sedan at the up and coming Detroit Auto Show. Whether or not this vehicle will actually make it over to the U.S. is yet to be decided.

Hyundai chose a very sleek, stylish, and well curved design. Everything is well rounded giving it a look of sophistication and making it look pricier than it is. Hyundai played it safe with the design – which was probably for the best. Most have complained about the grille – but in our opinion we are finding that it adds more style to the Genesis making it a little less boring.

Hyundai is offering the sedan with three different engines that include the 3.3 liter V6 Lambda engine (264 horsepower), the 3.8 liter V6 Lambda engine (290 horsepower), and the 4.6 liter V8 Tau engine (368 horsepower). The Tau will be the first V8 engine that Hyundai has used in the U.S. and will be used as their top shelf motor and can even be run on simple unleaded 87 octane gas.

Hyundai has stated that the 2009 Genesis sedan will be priced under $30,000. They are also planning on releasing a rear wheel drive coupe version of the Genesis. Though we aren’t quite sure when we can expect this.
