Navigon Thinks Simple With New 7100 GPS System

Navigon GPS 7100

When it comes to a GPS navigation system there are too many to choose from. Most companies are building ones that can give you step by step directions – but with some added features like, Bluetooth technology, an MP3 player, and video capability. We were surprised to see Navigon take a much different approach with their new 7100 GPS system – which they previewed at the CES show and are selling for $500.

The engineers understand the minds of the old fashioned and the simple people in the world. They knew that the best type of GPS system is the simplest type. So they created the 7100 – which gives directions and that’s all it does. Of course it does do it in a more advanced way and for that we are grateful.

Not only does the system tell you when and where to turn – but it also lets you know what lane you need to be in. The screen will give you a depiction of the different signs to look for to make it easy for you to find your next exit.

It may not have all the perks that the usual GPS system has – but we didn’t say that it didn’t have any at all. The 7100 keeps track of the speed limit, has information on the restaurants in the area, and if you purchase the lifetime subscription to their traffic data you will be able to get everywhere on time by avoiding all those congested areas.
