Mazda’s Tweaked RX-8 To Debut At Detroit Auto Show

Mazda RX-8

Many of us were hoping that Mazda would be creating an all new RX-8 that would transcend the previous model – which was only a little disappointing. Unfortunately the idea of them creating a completely new look and style to the vehicle will not becoming to pass this time around; at least not in the way that we were hoping.

Instead of creating a whole new model line-up Mazda has given the RX-8 a complete makeover. Mazda admitted that the makeover was designed to attract American consumers. Because of this we have an idea that Mazda won’t be offering this particular model to any other market. A Japanese magazine gave us a look at what to expect after they printed a couple of pictures (which have been enlarged for us) in their column.

The new and slightly improved RX-8 has been given an adjusted grille with its brand new front fascia and wider headlamps. Also the fog lights have been widened slightly and will sit higher on the vehicle. The picture that we have been given is actually the RS model version that has been built with Recaro seats, a rear spoiler – which surprisingly fits well onto the small vehicle – Bilstein shocks, and 19” alloy wheels. We’ll have more information after it has been debuted at the Detroit Auto Show.
