GM Celebrates 100th Birthday In Style With Launch Of GMNext

GM doesn’t hit its 100th birthday mark till September of 2008 but they are using the whole year to celebrate and they are inviting us to the party. Ok. So there isn’t an actual party – but they are starting up a new site which they have dutifully named GMNext. It was created in recognition of the auto company that was started by Jimmy Durant.

The site gives us peeks into the future plans that GM has for its cars. It has videos (42 at the moment) that give us an insight into the design of vehicles, technological advances for the future, and ‘green’ projects. It also has podcasts that keep us up to date with the latest events that GM is participating in.

As with most sites GM appreciates any comment, video submissions, and ideas that we would like to share. They even have a chat room that is full of the company executives for those looking for hard facts and good information. It is similar to their FastLane Blog – but better in every way. Check it out and also introduce yourself to the new man over there Maximum Bob who is sure to have a few comments of his own to share with everyone.
