2009 Jaguar XF - Style, Performance and Sophistication
The Germans used to have it easy, not anymore thanks to Jaguar’s next generation build upon the S-Type. A fantastic blend of modern and meets contemporary places the 2009 Jaguar XF a cut above the rest. The four-door XF offers the visual excitement of a coupe with a roomy style that is uniquely Jaguar.
Adding substance with space, the XF’s interior that’s both sophisticated and luxurious. JaguarSense, a neat new touch or proximity sensing control system, differs an elegant way to control tings like the glovebox release and overhead console lights. Premium car audio equipment coupled with touch screen, blue tooth, satellite radio and more put yet another notch on Jaguar’s sophistication belt. Attention to details like this places the XF at the top of it’s class for refinement, while Jaguar’s intelligent use of technology makes for an ergonomic interior that’s fun to not only drive, but also ride.

“The interior of the XF is a combination of style and substance. It bristles with innovative, industry-leading features. From the smart technical solution of the JaguarDrive SelectorTM, through the seamless efficiency of rotating vents, to the simplicity of Touch-screen control, the XF proves aesthetics and function can work together in perfect harmony.”

Speaking of ride, an advanced body structure designed for both strength and low weight, bolsters the XF’s handling performance with the help of a wide rear track and top notch suspension. This unique blend offers a dynamic blend of sports and luxury that’s second to none in our opinion.
“The new XF: a dramatic expression of a bold new Jaguar design language, with a driving experience that exceeds expectations created by the striking appearance: relaxed and confident, with outstanding ability and control.”
The new XF is powered by a variety of V6 and V8 engines that include everything from a powerful supercharged V8 to the quietest diesel engine in its class. Used for the first time in a Saloon, Jaguar’s famous shift-by-wire transmission control replaces manual shift linkages with electronic commands for smooth - yet blazingly fast - gearshifts. Faster, even, than the acclaimed XK’s transmission. Other transmission features, such as the Sequential Shift and JaguarDrive Selector, make it easy to find a shift strategy to match your mood and road conditions.
Some other nifty features include JaguarVoice control to operate audio and telephone functions, a tire pressure monitoring system, an electronic parking brake, a blind spot monitor, front and rear camera parking aids, adaptive cruise control and an automatic speed limiter.

The first 2009 XF’s will be delivered to customers in March 2008 and ordering is available now. Pricing depends on individual markets but MSRP has been listed anywhere from $49,200 to $62,200 depending on trim. Dealer invoice looks to be $4-5k under that (for our frugal enthusiasts).

Looks like Ford has finally made a nice car other than the Licoln. Back looks like a BMW, front looks like a Buick. Still nice looking cat.
