CA Police Pulling Over Good Drivers (Seriously)
If you find yourself being pulled over while driving through Rancho Cordova (a Sacramento suburb) during this holiday season, it may just be your lucky day. No kidding. These California police are serious - about giving you a cup of coffee.
Seems an enthusiastic traffic officer came up with the idea of pulling good drivers over to “promote the holiday spirit and enhance goodwill between the traffic unit and the motoring public,” said police Sgt. Tim Curran. In exchange for being late for work, you’ll be given a $5 Starbucks gift card - a small price to pay for the honor of getting fired from your job or missing your kid’s soccer practice. Bravo.
To top it all off, local businesses donated the money for the gift cards. “They raised a substantial amount of money,” Curran said. “They’ll be pulling over a lot of people.” Yay!
In related news, Starbucks wanted to give away free doughnuts too but the cops ate them all. Let’s just hope they don’t tase us for writing this.

Just-is think of those that carry “the shield” and “serve and protect” as “earthly angels” and holler at everyone you see “Merry Christmas and thank you officer” and maybe a Starbucks will be in your cold hands! bro mike Oh, and when the good police forces can keep the peace, Our Arm-mees can come home.

What a horrible idea… If I was ever “pulled over” by an officer for driving safely, I’d be livid. Shouldn’t they be pulling people over who aren’t obeying the traffic laws, or do all the drivers in Rancho Cordova obey the traffic laws? If you want to “promote the holiday spirit and enhance goodwill between the traffic unit and the motoring public,” then don’t it by pulling us over. Forcing us to Immediately stop whatever we’re doing is *NOT* a good way to spread holiday spirit. How about pulling over the jackass in front of me instead that just changed lanes in front of me without using their damn turn signal? If I saw that, I guarantee it’s give me something to cheer about.

I would love to be awarded for driving good. Give me a Starbucks card any day and I’ll be happy!
